Day 01: Arrival at Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport, you will be met by our representatives who will help you check into a hotel. You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel.
Day 02: Cochin- Eravikulum
After breakfast, you will leave for a sightseeing tour of the city. Your first stop will be Fort Cochin, built by the Portuguese traders and colonizers in the 16th century. Then, you will visit the 500-year-old St. Francis Church, where Vasco da Gama was buried. See the wonderful Chinese fishing nets, a legacy of trade between Cochin and Chinese traders in the middle ages. You will also be taken to visit the Mattancherry Palace and the old Jewish Synagogue, built by Jews who found refuge in Cochin after fleeing persecution in Europe in the 15th century. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Eravikulam through a scenic route passing through tea and spice plantations, where you will check into a hotel for the night.
Day 03: Eravikulam- Periyar
Trek through the Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, famed for its typically sub tropical flora and fauna. In the afternoon, you will leave for Periyar National park, 100 kilometers away. You will stay overnight at a resort near Periyar.
Day 04: Kumarakom
Take a boat cruise on the picturesque Periyar Lake, where you may spot animals that come to drink water. After a leisurely lunch at the resort, you will be taken to Kumarakom, where you will be taken on a tour of the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. You will book into a hotel at Kumarakom for the night.
Day 05: Kumarakom
Explore the beautiful backwaters of Kumarakom. Trek through the lush coconut groves or take pictures of the traditional rice boast on the lagoon. Later, you will embark on a houseboat cruise of the backwaters.
Day 06: Alleppey- Kovalam
In the morning, you will disembark at Alleppey. From Alleppey, you will be taken to Kovalam, just 4 hours away. Visit the beaches of Kovalam or relax at the Spa and Ayurveda Center of any of Kovalam's many resorts.
Day 7: Kovalam -Trivandrum- Departure
From Kovalam, you will be driven to Trivandrum, where you will take a flight for home.
