The Edathua festival is celebrated in the premises of St. George's Church, located in Edathua, Kerala. Situated on the banks of the Pamba River, this massive shrine at Edathua resembles the churches of medieval Europe.
The Edathua Festival is celebrated every year in the month of Medam (April-May).

statue of St. George, decked in gold regalia, is carried out and placed on
the dais in the centre of the basilica. Though the festival lasts for 11 days,

calendars reckon the 6th of May as the feast day.
